Pulsaart is another company in the AGC Glass Europe group, which markets the WAVETHRU™ Retrofit solution for enhancing mobile connectivity on trains. As for the building sector, the technology can be seamlessly integrated into existing train windows, allowing electromagnetic waves to pass through without affecting the window's thermal properties, to ensure uninterrupted access to mobile networks for passengers.

  • Do I have to completely change all my glazing to install WAVETHRU?
    No. The treatment is applied on site on the existing glazing. There is no manipulation of the existing glazing.
  • Who is the WAVETHRU solution designed for?
    WAVETHRU is designed for people who: Have an interest in a passive solution (only one treatment, no recurring costs, no energy consumption after treatment) Desire to choose a durable and long-lasting solution (the treatment is done on the existing glass and is effective for the entire life of the glass) Need multi-operator coverage (today it is impossible with an active system) Have multi-technology needs: 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, Wi-Fi, TETRA, Bluetooth
  • Is the treatment dangerous?
    No. On the contrary, having a building treated with WAVETHRU facilitates communications between the phones and the base station, so the user's phone emits much less harmful waves.
  • Is WAVETHRU a repeater?
    No. WAVETHRU is a passive solution that relies on the existing network outside the building.
  • Is WAVETHRU expensive?
    The budget is established per project based on the audit of your building. The TCO of our solution is less expensive than an active solution. There are no maintenance costs compared to active systems (DAS and Repeater). WAVETHRU is a one-shot treatment.
  • Does the entire glazing need to be treated?
    No. We only treat a portion of the window. We perform a preliminary audit to determine the problematic areas where the mobile network is weakest.

  • Does the treatment impact the u-value of the glazing?
    No. The treatment is performed only on a part of the glazing and has no influence on its technical properties. A study conducted by an independent organization, INISMA, certifies that the technical performance (light transmission, solar factor, u-value), integrity and durability of the glass are maintained.
  • What is the WAVETHRU treatment?
    It is a treatment with a laser of the metallic deposits present in the glazing which prevents the mobile waves from passing inside the building. The treatment is done from the inside. The treatment phase is discreet and does not disturb the occupants of the building. WAVETHRU brings the outside signal that is blocked by the glazing back inside.
  • Does the WAVETHRU treatment damage the glazing?
    No. WAVETHRU treatment does not alter the glass, neither its structural integrity, nor its lifetime, nor its insulating performance. A study conducted by an independent organization, INISMA, certifies that the performance (light transmission, solar factor, u-value), integrity & durability of the glass are maintained.
  • How long does it take to treat with WAVETHRU?
    Quick intervention - we operate in max 1 month between the first contact and the treatment Duration - will depend on the size of the project (small building 1 day, medium building 5 days, large building 2 weeks)
  • Does WAVETHRU improve the Wifi connection?
    No. We are not improving the indoor Wi-Fi, which is an internal network in the building. We allow the telephone network of each operator present outside to easily enter the building.
  • Can WAVETHRU be applied to my building?
    WAVETHRU is a treatment applied only on glazing. Your building must : have double or triple glazing placed be built recently (min. in the 1990s). There must be cell phone problems inside (no network, dropped calls, no internet loading, no call reception) . There must be a good network outside the building (evaluated by the WAVETHRU team by an audit).
  • What's the rollout of a WAVETHRU project?
    Step 1: We identify if the facade of your building is the cause of the mobile signal problem on the inside. We conduct an audit outside and inside your building of the existing mobile signal to evaluate the feasibility of the project and the scope of the problem. Step 2: We give you a quotation with the areas to be treated to get an optimal mobile signal inside your building. Step 3: We come on site to perform the treatment on your existing glass from the inside. Step 4: We make a new audit to measure the mobile signal after treatment. We deliver a detailed report with the before and after treatment results. Step 5: Your occupants can again make and receive calls, surf with their online data for all national operators.
  • My glazings are not AGC windows. Can you anyway apply the WAVETHRU treatment?
    Yes, all glass on the market is composed in the same way. We treat all glazing (double or triple) regardless of its manufacturer.
